The Mazda CX-7 allows five adults to be comfortably seated with room to spare. In the base SV or Sport trim, the driver’s seat is 6-way manually adjustable. Standard on every other trim is leather seating and an 8-way, power-adjustable driver’s seat. The audio system has AM/FM and XM radio, supports MP3 and regular CD’s, has an auxiliary input jack, and features steering wheel controls as a standard. The Bose Centerpoint Surround Sound System is standard on two of three Touring trims, and optional on the other. This system includes Bose AudioPilot technology which monitors the noise in the vehicle, and adjusts the sound signal so you hear more music, and less of everything else.

Utility

Inside the cabin, folding down the rear seats expands the 30 cubic-feet of cargo room to 59 cubic-feet. The under-floor cargo storage area adds to this, and the locking center console provides both lower and upper storage spaces. To make sure everyone is comfortable in this large space, dual climate controls or regular air conditioning with built-in pollen filters make for a clean, relaxed environment. Performance

The CX-7 is available in two different base models designated with an “i” or “s”. The engine found in the “i” is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder which utilizes variable-valve timing and produces 161-horsepower. This engine’s fuel economy rating reaches 27 mpg on the highway. On the other hand, the engine inside the “s” produces 244-horsepower. This 2.3-liter four-cylinder is turbocharged and comes paired with a six-speed automatic transmission as a standard.
